A taste of DSLR underwater...

Thanks to my "bestest" dive buddy Andrew, I managed to get a feel of using DSLR underwater. I don't really know how to change the camera settings underwater yet... so here are four photographs that I feel can be displayed in my blog. :P *cannot show the others. the reaction will be "aiyooooo... why so green? why so blur? you call that a photo?"* :P

Underwater lollipop anyone?

My favourite has to be the last picture where the goby is dsiplaying...!

The wonders of underwater Brunei...

Yesterday while I was out 'treasure hunting', Andrew went out for diving at CLEAR Reef. And what goodies he spotted this time? Hammerhead Nudibranch! Many times we took Brunei's water for granted and all we have to say about it is... "viz not great la...", "what are there to see? always the same thing", "scorpion fish la... puffer fish la... nemo la..."

But... that's not all. Diving with Andrew has shown me that there are a lot more "treasures" to discover underwater Brunei. There are so much more unexplore reef and beautiful creatures to uncover! I just can't wait for my next dive....

Here are some beautiful shots from Andrew:

Juvenille Angel Fish (left) Coral looking like a baby clam(right)

Sea Cucumber

Yellow Sponge Coral

My favourite from this collection has to be the hammerhead nudibranchs:

Hornets Reef

Should I dive or should I not? Is that even a question? Well not for me as the answer is obvious! Diving has been my passion ever since I started some 3 years back. I haven't dive for slightly more than a month due to some "freak" accident on my neck. What happen? Don't ask - but all I can say is it is not a lovebite! :P hee hee..

I was excited hearing that there will be a dive off Jerudong. It has been ages and I would like to return to Arun's Wreck. 5 minutes out the sea and Hj Kula's engine failed on us. :( So how??? Cannot dive ar?? Hell no! Azli came to the rescue, towing the boat all the way to Hornets Reef. And, what happen next? We had two wonderful dives....! :) Pictures speak more than a thousand words... so take a look at the pictures taken by my dive buddies, Andrew and Steven.

*My camera still under repair somewhere in Singapore - Boo...Hoooo....! :( *

Dive Date: 30 June 2008

I like this shot.
It is something common in underwater Brunei
that very often we will not even capture a shot of it.
Yet, this photo potrays such beautiful texture...

The highlight of this dive:
