Mel's Reef - 21st May 2006

Oh.. MY GOSH.... this reef is just sooooooooooo good... so so so GOOD....

Can't believe that we saw shark on both dives! Excellent dives led by Hermoine the Dive Master. First dive we saw white tip shark, swam away after we tried to get closer. Really cool to see the shark "disappear" so fast. We saw cowrie (i think this is it's spell ) , lots of anemone fish, lion fish, snappers and groupers and goby...

Second dive, we dived at the same spot but this time, moving south. We saw scorpion fish cleverly camouflaged itself on top of the coral. We spotted lion fish, slugs, giant snapper and giant grouper, batfish and last but not least, NURSE SHARK...! We came really close to the shark and managed to take a good look of the head and tail of the shark. It was resting ... so we manage to have a good 5 mins look at it before we were called to do our safety stop and end our dives.

I wonder... what other kind of shark will we spot next dive? Hammerhead? Or perhaps... whale shark?

Next time if you saw the shark, wake her up by cutting whoever you like most. You had seen twice the shark hiding in the rock. Should try out seeing her swimming around. :)
